UPDATE 2:

UGO (via ComicBookMovie) has some more tittilating info on the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender spinoff, The Legend Of Korra. They confirm that it will be a mini-series, tighter than the original, with less filler episodes. Check out the rest from the creators here. One of the best and worst pieces of information is that the cabbage guy won’t appear, but “his legacy will be present in some form.” Take that Shyamalan!

The Wall Street Journal has an interview with Avatar: The Last Airbender creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino on their upcoming spin-off, The Legend of Korra. It comes complete with the concept art above of Korra looking over Republic City, the more mature tone of the new series, and a slight diss of Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender. While fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender have been varying degrees of dissappointed with M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, there’s hope for the future of the franchise. Nickelodeon has just greenlit The Legend Of Korra from the same creative team as Avatar. This story takes place in the Avatar world 70 years after the conclusion of the first show. It follows a female Avatar named Korra as she masters airbending under the tutelage of Aang’s son in the new airbending city. You can read the full rundown at SuperHeroHype.

I think this is an incredible idea and I am excited that I’m just hearing about it and it comes out next year. It’s always nice to be surprised by new, good shows. I can’t wait to see the world again, especially after the events of the series. And as opposed to traditional hackey cameos in spin-off shows, this allows us to see all of the characters we love in a completely different stage of their life, and see the world and mythology we know through a new set of eyes.

Bros Icing Bros is one of the latest memes that I can really get behind. This is something I would have been heavily into a few years ago and I’m thinking I might still be. Watch out for yr bros, they may be plottin’ to ice ya.

While watching Blue Velvet or Super Mario Bros. to honor the death of Dennis Hopper are good moves, I suggest this gem.

Oldiebuddagoodie: An amazing video by Mixtape Club and Daniel Garcia for an amazing song by TV On The Radio from the Adult Swim compilation, Warm & Scratchy. I’ve always loved this song for the way it exemplifies the best of TVOTR and their experimental origins and love for Daniel Johnston.

I have no idea what this is for. The only information I have is the title and the description of the video which reads: “Psychedelic adventure for Daisy Daisy. In collaboration with Paul Plowman and Malcolm Goldie.” I dunno who Michelle or Daisy Daisy are, but I know that I love their ping pong playing psychedelic adventure.
