THE PRESENT IS NOW

Last week, we got a look at the tantalizing character posters from Zack Snyder’s upcoming Sucker Punch. Yesterday, the trailer debuted, and it’s amazing:

It takes everything we knew about the film and amplifies it. It’s clear that thematically and visually this film will be magnificent. Let’s hope the acting and writing fare as well. Either way, I’ll be there opening night. And because of the fast pace of the trailer, /Film has 70 hi-res images that break the action down for you to drool over. There will be drool.

Ok, so the girls of Zack Snyder’s upcoming Sucker Punch are all legal (thank god), but there’s definitely strong elements of that Japanese-school-girl-fetish thing going on here. I’m not complaining. This movie sounded cool before the photos of the cast started leaking, what with it’s ‘tagline’ of “Alice in Wonderland with machine guns” and the fact that Jon Hamm is in it. Mix that with reports that the tagline doesn’t do the true content justice, the official plot being announced, and of course Zack Snyder’s pretty strong track record so far and this movie is only sweetened by the fact that it stars a bunch of scantily-clad young girls toting guns and swords. The holidays are still half a year away, but Katy Perry is letting us unwrap our present early. She bares mostly all of what Cracked deems “Zooey Deschanel’s face on a pornstar’s body” in the upcoming August issue of Esquire UK. Stay tuned for (hopefully) more pictures to come (get it?).

It’s official. Megan Fox told the PinkHollywood blog that the June issue of Playboy will feature her on the cover and inside bearing all for the first time. “My idol has always been Marilyn Monroe, and she was the first one to do Playboy. I figure, I’m not getting any younger, so I might as well do this in my prime like Marilyn did.” You can read the rest of the interview, including some sexy details about what the shoot will entail, here.

Now that’s a band name I can really get behind. And it’s got one spooky cool video packed with a couple of babes (I dunno if they’re the band or just eye candy) exploring the woods, a cave, and perhaps their minds. I get a strong vibe that these ladies might be tripping their balls off. And it doesn’t look like it’s a pleasant journey. The song’s pretty good too, though it’s a little derivative of Fever Ray sans vocals.

I have no idea what this is for. The only information I have is the title and the description of the video which reads: “Psychedelic adventure for Daisy Daisy. In collaboration with Paul Plowman and Malcolm Goldie.” I dunno who Michelle or Daisy Daisy are, but I know that I love their ping pong playing psychedelic adventure. I don’t know anything about this. I just thought it was cool. I’m also 100% sure that it takes place in Florida due to the trees, woods, and the fact that the ground is carpeted in pine needles. Trust me. I lived there for 23 years. The thanks at the end are for Ohio, but that must be for something else. Either way, who hasn’t fantasized about dousing some babe in fruit juices? No one, that’s who.

UPDATE: Turns out the model in the video, Jahma, is from Miami. I’d say this further proves my assertion about the film taking place in Florida.
